Our roots go back to 1948 when Granville Snair started an electrical business from the basement of his home in Black Point, N.S. At the time there were very few electrical specialists in the area, and Granville saw this as an opportunity to not only be self-employed, but to offer a much-needed service also.

In 1966, the business had grown so much that Granville needed to expand. He purchased a building known as the Bizee Centre which gave him sufficient room for a showroom.  By this time, he had added both plumbing and heating services to his business.

Granville’s son Clifford earned his certification in steamfitting, and over the next few years he earned certification both in plumbing and oil-burning heat. Clifford and Granville became partners, and together became G. C. Snair & Son Limited. 

Granville passed away in 1969 leaving Clifford to guide the business through the next period of its growth; and grow it did. 1983 saw a second extension: the Bizee Centre Laundromat opened, and provided another much-needed service to Black Point.

In 1990, Clifford's son Lee joined the company. He completed both steamfitting and oil burning heat, and is currently working in plumbing.
 
The Bizee Centre Cafe opened in 1996, and over the past 7 years, we’ve gradually developed from a handy eating spot to a Black Point destination restaurant. Our menu offers both traditional Maritime specialties and more eclectic choices.

We now have a family-owned and operated business that has spanned three generations of Black Point Snairs. We're dedicated to serving our community and we'd like to serve you, too!
